USS Atlirith (AGC-7-45) was a Federation starship, a Kumari-class battleship in Starfleet service in the 2160s decade. Atlirith was operated by the Andorian Guard, the defensive branch of Starfleet. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Live by the Code)

History[]

On October 11, 2165, Atlirith, USS Docana and USS Essex defended the Starfleet outpost on Ardan IV from a strike by the Klingon Empire. While Essex evacuated the outpost, Atlirith and Docana engaged a pair of D5-class battlecruisers and a bird-of-prey. Atlirith and Docana soared ahead, forcing the Klingons to scatter, and fire was exchanged. During the subsequent engagement, the port wing cannon took a serious hit, allowing the bird-of-prey to slip past and assault the Essex and the evacuation shuttles. Soon after, Atlirith destroyed one of the battlecruisers and damaged. When Atlirith and Docana moved in to assist the Essex, the D5 and the bird-of-prey accelerated towards Ardan IV, detonating the planet's dilithium reserve and causing a conflagration reminiscent of Coridan Prime. Ardan IV was rendered uninhabitable. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Live by the Code)
