The USS Avenger (NCC-97500) was a Federation starship, the prototype of the Avenger-class battlecruiser, in service to Starfleet in the early 25th century. (STO video game: Star Trek Online)

Service history

After its launch in the year 2409, the Avenger became the class representative in the ship selection screen in Earth Spacedock's shipyard. (STO mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

During Operation: Delta Rising, the USS Avenger, under the command of Captain Brandon Felczer, came to the rescue of an alliance shuttlecraft that had fallen into a trap laid by enemies of the Delta Alliance in the Hodos star system. (STO mission: "Better With Friends")

The USS Avenger's appearance in the Hodos system is a random event at the end of the mission. The captain of the Avenger, Brandon Felczer, is named for a former community manager at Star Trek Online's publisher Perfect World Entertainment, who recorded the cameo before leaving the company in 2014. This is the only specific appearance of Avenger to date, although any Avenger-class starship not otherwise labeled will carry the Avenger name and registry number by default.
