The USS Ayers was a 24th century Federation starship, an Ambassador-class vessel in Starfleet service under the command of Captain Ward.
Service history and disposition[]
In the year 2370, the Ayers was destroyed during an engagement with several Romulan warbirds during the Romulan incursion. Contact was lost after having encountered and destroyed several under-armed warbirds which were not using their cloaking devices in the Beremar star system.
The USS Enterprise-D was sent by Outpost 543 to investigate only to find debris and radiation of the ship, destroyed by the Cionex. (TNG video game: A Final Unity)
- The Ayers is mentioned in the game if the player hasn't engaged the Cionex in the earlier mission. If the player has done so, no distress signal is mentioned, and presumably the skirmish and the ship's destruction is prevented.
