The USS Baliste was a Federation starship in Starfleet service in the year 2381.
Service history and disposition[]
During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Baliste was one of six Starfleet vessels tasked with defending the world of Deneva from six Borg cubes. The Baliste was destroyed with all hands along with the rest of the defense fleet. The Borg then proceeded to destroy Deneva and eradicate its entire population. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
