The USS Ballista (NCC-1603) was a Federation starship, a Constitution-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the late 23rd century.
History[]
The Ballista was a refit ship of the Enterprise-subclass, specifically outfitted as a heavy drone cruiser (CAD) for the 2280s decade. The ship was easily modifiable with additional technology to become a rear-fire heavy drone cruiser (CADR) or the advanced heavy drone cruiser (CAD+). (ST video game: Starfleet Command)
- No history or fate is established for this vessel in Starfleet Command as its name was randomly assigned to a cruiser vessel by the game software.
While the exact fate of this vessel is unknown, by at least the mid-24th century it would no longer be in service, being succeeded in name by a new Steamrunner-class USS Ballista. (ST video game: Armada)
