In the year 2377, Bayuda participated in repelling a Borg invasion.
On stardate 54771.6, the Bayuda was part of the joint Federation-Borg armada crossing through Rift Alpha into fluidic space to destroy the Rift Maker to end the Species 8472 incursions into the Alpha and Delta Quadrants. When the Rift Maker was destroyed, the Borg Queen and Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-E ordered the armada to return through Rift Alpha. Along with the rest of the armada, the Bayuda returned savely to the Hurik system, where the Federation-Borg alliance was called off by Picard, and the Borg were escorted back to the Borg transwarp portal.
