The USS Bismarck (NCC-3225-B) was a 23rd century Federation starship, a Proxima-class battleship in Starfleet service by the early 2270s decade. Following a refit to Proxima II-class[2] battleship specifications, the Bismarck carried the registry number NCC-3225. (ST video game: Legacy)
Service history[]
The Bismarck-B in 2270.
The Bismarck in 2273.
The USS Bismarck-B was active by 2270. On stardate 7106.7 of that year, it was one of four Proxima-class battleships available for requisitioning by Captain James T. Kirk for a task force led by the Constitution-class cruiser USS Enterprise. The Enterprise was to capture a Klingon prototype bird of prey in star system protected by the Klingon Defense Force, and to then take the Klingon bird-of-prey to another system to destroy a Klingon weapons platform. (ST video game: Legacy mission: "The Squeeze")
By 2273, the Bismarck had undergone a refit and discarded the "-B" suffix of its registry. On stardate 7492.1, the Bismarck was again among the four Proxima II-class battleships available for a mission to pursue the renegade 22nd century Vulcan scientist T'Uerell. By this time, the Enterprise had undergone a refit to Constitution-class specifics and was under the command of Rear Admiral Kirk. T'Uerell escaped Kirk's task force and left them to fight a Borg sphere instead. (ST video game: Legacy mission: "Omega")
This ship remained active into the 24th century. By the 2330s, its class was an outdated design and had been superseded technologically by the Ambassador-class battleship and was outmatched by contemporary Romulan warbirds. On stardate 10372.6 in the year 2333, the Bismarck was among the ships able to support Acting Captain Jean-Luc Picard after T'Uerell's action had led to damage aboard the USS Stargazer. (ST video game: Legacy mission: "Revelations")
By stardate 45252.6 in 2368, the Bismarck was no longer among Starfleet's roster of active starships. (ST video game: Legacy mission: "Ambush")
