The USS Bode (NCC-3922) was a 23rd century Federation starship, a Ptolemy-class (Dollond-subclass mark VIB) class I transport/tug ordered for Starfleet service in the 23rd century.
Service history and disposition[]
Construction of Bode was authorized by the Starfleet appropriation in the 2260s decade, on stardate 4990. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)
- The stardate given would seem to suggest this ship was ordered sometime during the TOS era.
The Bode was destroyed, lost with all hands, as a result of a Kriosian terrorist attack in the Da'kel system. (TOS novel: Cast No Shadow)
- Presumably, an earlier USS Bode was the prototype of the Bode-class of starship from service in the time period of the Four Years War.
