The USS Bombay was a class VII Federation starship, a Larson-class (mark VII) destroyer in Starfleet service in the 23rd century.
Service History[]
In 2273 on stardate 2/1711.17, the Bombay, her sister ship the USS Nelson, the USS Houston and the USS Intrepid were sent by Starbase 12 to aid two Baker-class destroyers, the USS Richardson and USS Taylor, in defending the USS Vindicator a research cruiser from a Klingon task force of eight ships. They managed to fend off the task force but not without the Richardson and the Taylor suffering serious damage, and one of them losing its captain.
