The USS Bonavista was Danube-class Federation runabout assigned to Deep Space 3 in 2378.

Service history and disposition

In 2378, Berlinghoff Rasmussen evaded parole and stole the Bonavista from Deep Space 3, making for Talos IV. (DFT - Another Piece of the Action comic: "Part 1")

When he arrived, Rasmussen invited the Keeper aboard the ship, intending to exploit the Talosian talents on the black market, unaware that the device he was using to block out the Keeper's influence on him was useless. Before the Keeper could take control of the craft, it was shot down by the USS Defiant under the command of Worf, Rasmussen managing to safely land the Bonavista on the surface of Talos IV.

Two days later, Worf and Spock managed to convince the Keeper to turn over Rasmussen but due to Starfleet's quarantine on Talos IV, Worf was forced to deny the Keeper's request for transport off-world. He did however restore the Bonavista to working order so that the Talosians could leave their world. In the aftermath, Starfleet Command issued an all-points bulletin warning of the Bonavista being stolen by the Talosians. (DFT - Another Piece of the Action comic: "Part 3")
