The USS Brahe was a Federation starship, a Constitution-class vessel in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century.
On reference stardate 1/93, the Brahe, under the command of Captain Peter Sullivan, discovered that the USS Ajax had been disintegrated in an enormous on-ship explosion and its remains had turned into a comet. Sullivan recommended that the comet be named after the ship. (TOS reference: Spaceflight Chronology)
