The USS Briostrys was a 25th century Xindi-built Federation starship, a Briostrys-class dreadnought carrier and lead ship of its class in Xindi-Aquatic and Starfleet service in the 2410s decades. (STO website: Escalation: T6 Xindi Starships)

The Aquatics intended the Briostrys to be an evolution of the 22nd century Narcine-class dreadnought. That dreadnought's exterior remained unchanged for centuries while its internal systems were kept up to date. The Briostrys and its class was fitted with additional wings and water pods along the hull.
From 2410 onward, the Briostrys represented its class in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interfaces at Khitomer Alliance shipyards across the Milky Way Galaxy. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Alliance flag officers in, or aligned with, Starfleet, deployed the Briostrys for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")
