The USS Carla Romney was an Akira-class Federation Starfleet starship in service in the late 24th century.

In 2374, during the Dominion War, the Carla Romney responded to a distress call from the USS Enterprise after the Enterprise was attacked by the Jem'Hadar on the Cardassian border. (TNG - The Dominion War novel: Behind Enemy Lines)

This ship is reputedly named for Dr. Carla Romney, assistant dean at Boston University's medical school, research assistant professor, and program chair of the Science and Engineering Program in BU's Metropolitan College.
