The USS Carter (NCC-93202) was a Federation starship, a Somerville-class intel science vessel in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "The Ninth Rule")
Service history[]
In 2410, Admiral Kebret led a task force, consisting of his Andromeda-class USS Birmingham and two escorts, the USS Carter and USS Shirgat, to protect a spore colony in the Kinjer system. The Andromeda was disabled by DaiMon Madran's D'Kora-class marauder. The FMS Madran's Majesty dropped its cloak and crippled the Birmingham. Quick intervention by the Carter and Shirgat saved Kebret's ship.
When another Alpha Quadrant Alliance starship arrived, Admiral Kebret assigned the Carter and Shirgat to the Alliance ship, and their two captains pledged their support. The Alliance disabled Madran's ship and destroyed his mercenary fleet. After retrieving the stolen spores, the Alliance towed the Madran's Majesty towards the Birmingham but came under attack from disgruntled ex-partner's of Madran. After repelling them and with the Birmingham restored, Kebret and his task force remained in the system. (STO - J'Ula's Discovery mission: "The Ninth Rule")
