Challenger was in service in the mid-to-late 24th century in the 2370s decade. (ST video games: Infinite, Armada, Armada II)
- The Star Trek Infinite game software has each campaign having a certain chance of spawning a Sovereign ship named "Challenger" from a list of preselected names. Through this application of video game logic, it is also possible that this name would be assigned to a number of other types of vessels. No history or fate is established for this vessel in the Armada series as its name was also randomly selected for a Sovereign-class vessel by the games' software.'
