The USS Churchill was a Federation Baton Rouge-class cruiser starship in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century. (TOS comic: "All Those Years Ago...")
By 2264, Commander Gary Mitchell was serving aboard the Churchill. It was during 48 hours shore leave on Wrigley's Pleasure Planet in this year, that Mitchell received his orders to assume the role of first officer aboard the USS Enterprise. The orders were relayed to him by the Churchill, which was orbiting the planet. (TOS comic: "All Those Years Ago...")
In 2289, Lieutenant Dmitri Valtane served aboard the Churchill as science officer. (Star Trek video game: Starship Creator)
