The USS Citadel was a 24th century Federation starship, a Galaxy-class battleship in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade. (ST video game: Armada)
Service history and disposition[]
The derelict Citadel in the Junkyard.
The USS Citadel had entered service by around stardate 53550.8[2] in 2376, following the end of the Dominion War. In that year, this vessel and its sister ships operated in the galaxy's Alpha and Beta Quadrants. (ST video game: Armada)
At some point, the Citadel was left derelict near a black hole in the region of space known as "the Junkyard". The Citadel was one of a number of vessels that could still be salvaged from the wreckage. In 2376, this star system was contested between four factions. (ST video game: Armada instant action: "The Junkyard")
In the same year and during the events of the Borg invasion, Starfleet operated an Akira-class destroyer named the USS Citadel. (ST video game: Armada)
Six months later, in 2377, the Citadel was one of several Galaxy-class battleships operated by Starfleet in the Alpha, Beta and Delta Quadrants during the next Borg invasion and a renewed conflict between the Borg Collective and Species 8472. (ST video game: Armada II)
The Galaxy-class Citadel was one of the starships active in 2379 that appeared in training simulation scenarios used by Lieutenant Commander Carey at Starfleet Academy. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Tutorial: Movement")
