The USS Cole (NCC-97938) was a 25th century Federation starship, an Echelon-class vessel in Starfleet service in the 2400s decade. (PIC episode: "The Bounty")
Service history and disposition[]
Soon after stardate 78186.03[2] in the year 2401, the Cole was among the Starfleet ships tracking down the rogue USS Titan-A. Starfleet had been infiltrated by Changelings. The USS Coleand its sister ship USS Sternbach failed to intercept the Titan-A at Daystrom Station. (PIC episode: "The Bounty")
On 12 April 2401, the Cole was one of many vessels assembled for Frontier Day, representing the majority of Starfleet, all gathered at the planet Earth in the Sol system in sector 001 of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. When a new maneuvering protocol went live and the Borg Collective initiated their takeover of Starfleet, Cole was one of the vessels swallowed up in the resulting chaos. (PIC episode: "Võx")
