At a unspecified point during the five-year mission of the USS Enterprise , Lieutenant Vincent DeSalle had transferred to the Columbia. (TOS novel: The Weight of Worlds)
In 2273, Starfleet ordered the Columbia to rendezvous with the USS Revere. The transmitted orders were recorded by the Epsilon IX monitoring station. (TOS movie: The Motion Picture)
