History and disposition[]
In the year 2364, this starship was commanded by Captain Louis Rubenstein. On stardate 42623.2, Rear Admiral Gregory Quinn of Starfleet Operational Support Services sent a mission order to this ship about revised ship refit specs. Later that year, this order was read by Lieutenant Commander Data during an investigation into an alleged conspiracy in the highest levels of Starfleet Command. (TNG episode: "Conspiracy" okudagram)
In 2370, Lieutenant La Fong rotated aboard Constellation from the USS Lexington. (TNG novel: Balance of Power)
In 2371, the Constellation was ordered to Deep Space 9 to transport a Jem'Hadar child to Starbase 201 for study. (DS9 episode: "The Abandoned")
During the Dominion War in mid-2374, it was assigned to assist the USS Defiant in the search for survivors of the Cardassian attack on the USS Honshu. (DS9 episode: "Waltz")
