The USS Constellation-A shared its NCC registry number and -A suffix with the Imperial Terran Cheyenne-class starship ISS Cheyenne (NCC-73606-A) from the mirror universe. (STO website: The Sphere: Hirogen Lockbox and Lobi Ships)

This Constellation was active by the year 2409. The Constellation-A was a contemporary of the Constellation-class heavy cruiser USS Constellation (NX-1974-D). From 2410 onward, the Constellation-A represented its class on Starfleet Shipyards Operations interfaces in Khitomer Alliance shipyard facilities across the galaxy.
