Service history[edit | edit source]
- The stardate given would seem to suggest this ship was ordered sometime before the TOS era.
By the 2260s decade, the Copernicus had been designated as a science vessel. In the year 2267, shortly after stardate 3040, the ship was assigned to survey dying planets, starting with Ramedes III. A civilian named Rell was attached to the ship's crew to offer a unique perspective on this endeavour. (TOS comic: "Worldsinger")
