The USS Corpus Christi (NA-03) was a 24th century Federation starship, a Texas-class automated spacecraft and prototype of its class, in Starfleet service in the 2380s decade. The Corpus Christi operated without an onboard crew. (LDs episode: "Trusted Sources")

History and specifics[]

Namesake[]

As as a Texas-class vessel, the Corpus Christi was named after the city of Corpus Christi in Texas on Earth. (LDs episode: "The Stars at Night")

Active service[]

In the 2380s, the Corpus Christi was the third of three automated Federation starships operating under the aegis of Vice Admiral Les Buenamigo.

On stardate 58496.1 in 2381, the California-class support cruiser USS Cerritos came under attack from Breen interceptors after learning that the Breen had conquered Brekka. Admiral Buenamigo dispatched the Texas-class prototype USS Aledo (NA-01) to assist the Cerritos in battle. When Admiral Buenamigo hailed, he explained that this mission was the first sea trial of the Aledo, officially declassifying the Texas class to the Federation, represented by Federation News Network journalist Victoria Nuzé. Captain Carol Freeman felt dismayed that the exciting new starship took away from her Project Swing By initiative. (LDs episode: "Trusted Sources")

Admiral Buenamigo activated the AI's of the USS Aledo, USS Dallas (NA-02) and USS Corpus Christi in 2381. Because the AI the ships were programmed with was insane, the Texas class went rogue on stardate 58499.2, killing Buenamigo and attacking Starfleet. The Aledo ransacked Douglas Station, crippled the USS Van Citters and joined forces with the Corpus Christi and Dallas. A fleet of California-class support ships[3] engaged the Texas class and destroyed the three prototypes. (LDs episode: "The Stars at Night")
