While originally an Anton-class vessel, the Courage was later refit to Mk I Reliant-subclass specifications and re-entered service on reference stardate 2/1509. (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
As of 2381, the Courage was commanded by Captain Mary Beth Sterling. In that year, they were assigned to patrol sector 009 in the aftermath of the recent Borg Invasion. The Courage deviated from that assignment to aide in the resettlement of survivors from Deneva on planet Ingraham B. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
- It is possible that the 24th century Courage was a different, newer vessel, but there is no information to support or contradict this supposition.
