The Galaxy-class USS Crockett participated in the Dominion War as part of the Federation Alliance. In late 2374, the Crockett and the Montréal avoided the Cardassian 3rd Fleet and slipped into an asteroid field. The Crockett had suffered extreme damage to its superstructure, prompting Captain Tennison to report the ship's final log.
Tennison ordered non-essential crew evacuated to the saucer section, and the Montreal to tow it to safety while Tennison would remain behind with the secondary hull for a last stand. (Star Trek Adventures module: Gamma Quadrant Sourcebook)
By 2376, a new ship bearing the name, the Defiant-class destroyer USS Crockett, had entered service. (ST video game: Armada)
