Service history[]
On stardate 1207.3 (11 May 2256), the Dana participated in the Battle of the Binary Stars between Starfleet and a Klingon fleet, led by the fanatic T'Kuvma. (DSC episode: "Battle at the Binary Stars")

Legacy[]
The ship appeared in Commander Ethan Burgess' holodeck simulation of the battle, and but was represented by a Nimitz-class starship. Unlike its real counterpart, this USS Dana survived the battle. (STO - Age of Discovery mission: "Battle of the Binary Stars")
