The USS Drake (NCC-70956) was a Federation Andromeda-class starship in service in the late 24th century. (ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia)

History[]

In early 2373, the Drake and the USS Armstrong were ambushed by Klingon forces in the brief Federation-Klingon War of 2372-2373, and were forced to dock at Deep Space 9 for repairs and the medical treatment of injured personnel by Doctor Julian Bashir. (DS9 episode: "Apocalypse Rising")
