For other uses, see Eddington.

The USS Eddington (NCC-3845) was a Federation starship, a Ptolemy-class transport tug of the Doppler-subclass (Mk VIB), ordered for construction in the 23rd century.

Service history and disposition[edit | edit source]

Construction of Eddington was authorized by the Starfleet appropriation of stardate 4990. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)

The stardate given would seem to suggest this ship was ordered during the TOS era in the 2260s.

In the year 2269, the Eddington picked up a distress call from a scout ship during an "interstellar gate" incident, and found all 10 of the scout's crew dead. (TOS novel: The Final Nexus)
