The USS Edison (NCC-95160) was a Federation starship, the Edison-class temporal warship prototype[1] in Starfleet service in the 2410s decades. Its name and design echoed the USS Edison (NCC-1683) lost at the Battle of the Binary Stars in 2256. (STO website: Rise of Discovery: The Temporal Warship Bundle!)
Service history and disposition[]
The temporal warship was a starship classification conceived by the Allied Cooperative Starship Development Board (ACSDB), and represented the first four-way cooperation between Starfleet's Advanced Starship Design Bureau, the Klingon Defense Force, the Romulan Republic Navy, and the Dominion's Jem'Hadar Vanguard Fleet, with the latter joining the triumvirate of powers that had been cooperating previously. The Starfleet contribution were the tier 6 Edison-class temporal warship, and its fleet starship counterpart, the refitted Hoover-class USS Edison (NCC-1683).

The USS Edison was constructed at, and launched from, the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards following the reconstruction period of the destructive Iconian War. It was one of four prototypes for new temporal warship classes, alongside the Kholhr-class RRW Kholhr, Chargh-class IKS Chargh, and the Jem'Hadar Vanguard temporal warship "Jem'Hadar Vanguard Temporal Warship".
