The USS Edison was a Nebula-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century.
Service history[]
The Edison was one of many Nebula-class starships to be involved in the fight against the Borg invasion of 2377. (TNG video game: Armada II)
Later that year, the Edison transported Captain Montgomery Scott to the planet Ardana, where they were to prevent the Cloud City Stratos from crashing to the surface. However, the Edison's first officer, Commander Alverson, was struck in the chest with a dagger from a booby trap left in the city by the Disruptors a century earlier. His injuries necessitated that the Edison leave Scott at Ardana and head to Starbase 375. (CoE eBook: Signs from Heaven)
- The stardate given in Armada II was 54522.6, and 54683.2 for Signs from Heaven. This suggests the Edison survived its encounter with the Borg, and is the same ship in both stories.
