The captain of Endeavor died in his own command chair as his crew was slaughtered by an onset of madness and possessions. (TOS comic: "Experiment in Vengeance!")
Uniform insignia.
- Although characters were shown wearing the ribbed-collar uniform common in the 2250s, the captain's insignia was the updated sleeve rank stripes familiar in the 2260s rank system. This was common in the era of transition between the two rank insignia styles.

Possessed operations officers.
At least two operations division officers of Endeavor were possessed by discorporated scientists and participated in their murderous rampage through Endeavor, murdering others with phasers. (TOS comic: "Experiment in Vengeance!")
Uniform insignia.
- Rank insignia did not usually specify grades in the 2250s, meaning these officers could have been ensigns, lieutenants or commanders. It is at least likely they were lieutenants because the single sleeve stripe signified that rank in the later uniform styles, which were just starting to come into use at this point.

A Vulcan science officer of Endeavor was possessed by discorporated scientists and participated in their murderous rampage through Endeavor, murdering another bridge officer with a phaser pistol. (TOS comic: "Experiment in Vengeance!")

- Rank insignia did not usually specify grades in the 2250s, meaning this officer could have been an ensign, lieutenant or commander. It is at least likely he was a lieutenant because the single sleeve stripe signified that rank in the later uniform styles, which was just starting to come into use at this point.
