The Equinox was under the command of Captain Rudy Ransom. In 2370, the Caretaker took the Equinox to the Delta Quadrant. In 2376, the Equinox was destroyed when it battled the USS Voyager (NCC-74656) over the killing of aliens to get home faster. (VOY episode: Equinox). The surviving crewmembers were absorbed into Voyager’s crew. (VOY novel: Gateways No Man's Land).
