The USS Excalibur was a Miranda-class Federation light cruiser during the late 23rd century.
This ship and her crew were used as the main player Miranda-class vessel in Starfleet Academy bridge crew training simulations for the Class of 2288.
It had a capacity of 1000 people. (TOS video game: Starfleet Academy Starship Bridge Simulator)
Background
In the console version, the ship is shown participating in the following missions:
- Evacuate the population of the Menith system.
- Escort the freighter Nicholas to deliver to Alca through the Miraz passage.
- Patrol several sectors infested by Venturi renegades
- Deliver Dr. Hungi to the Hawking Conference
- Escort Ambassador Robert Fox to a meeting with the Koth.
