The USS Firebrand (NCC-68723) was a Freedom-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century.
History[]
In 2367, the Firebrand participated in the Battle of Wolf 359. It was destroyed, along with 38 other starships. A large portion of this ship's hull was left behind by the Borg as a wreck. (TNG episode: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II"; ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia)

Background[]
The Firebrand was created out of model parts created to depict Galaxy-class starships, with an alternate arrangement and differently scaled windows to make it appear as a different vessel. The model was damaged in order to appear in the wreckage scene at Wolf 359.
