The USS Gandhi (NCC-26632) was a Ambassador-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the 24th century. (ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia, Decipher RPG modules: Starfleet Operations Manual, Starships)

The Gandhi was launched in 2324, and amongst the officers to serve aboard her during the shakedown cruise was Lieutenant (j.g.) Rachel Garrett, as tactical officer. (ST video game: Starship Creator; ST - Enterprise Logs short story: "Hour of Fire")

As a participant in the Coreworld Frontier Survey Initiative, the Gandhi made first contact with the Zakdorn. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)

While performing relief work with Bajoran refugees, the Gandhi's commanding officer was killed while attempting to negotiate an exchange of hostages with the Cardassians. Fortunately, Lieutenant Commander Garrett took charge of the situation and prevented any more unnecessary bloodshed. (ST - Enterprise Logs short story: "Hour of Fire"; ST video game: Starship Creator)

Starship Creator gives the date of this incident as 2332, which is at odds with "Hour of Fire" (and other sources), which have Garrett serving as commanding officer of the USS Enterprise-C by this date.

In 2364, Cadet Jayme Miranda's mother was assigned to the vessel. She still served aboard in 2370, as Miranda had a conversation with her. (TNG novel: The Best and the Brightest)

In 2369, the Gandhi was assigned to perform a terraforming mission in the Legana sector. In this year, Lieutenant Thomas Riker was assigned to the Gandhi following his recovery from Nervala IV. (TNG episode: "Second Chances")

By 2371, the Gandhi, under the command of Captain Azon Lexen, had completed its terraforming mission and was assigned to a patrol of the Demilitarized Zone. In this year, Lexen ordered Riker to deliver medical supplies via shuttlecraft to Outpost Sierra III. However, Riker and the supplies were captured by the Maquis to help combat a new outbreak of the Double Helix virus. Following the development of a cure, Riker decided to remain with the Maquis. (TNG - Double Helix novel: Quarantine; DS9 episode: "Defiant")

The Gandhi is described in Quarantine as being a Galaxy-class vessel.
