The USS Gloucester was a Federation starship, a long-range patrol ship in Starfleet service in the 23rd century. It was under the command of Captain Aurobindo Korrapati. (VAN novel: Precipice, DSC novel: Drastic Measures)

Service history[]

At some point before the year 2246, the Human Aurobindo Korrapati served as first officer and then captain of the Gloucester. During Korrapati's tenure, the ship saw combat and experienced tough scrapes, including against Orion pirates and other marauders. The Gloucester was involved in defending civilian merchant shipping and the occasional Federation colony. When reviewing Korrapati's service record, Commander Philippa Georgiou considered that as evidence for the Human's experience. (DSC novel: Drastic Measures)

After the USS Nowlan was destroyed on January 03, 2267, the Gloucester recovered the ship's disaster record buoy. (VAN novel: Precipice)
