The USS Grace Hopper was a Federation starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century. This vessel was named for Grace Hopper^WP, a Human scientist who pioneered early advancement in the field of computer programming languages on Earth in the 20th century.

Service history and disposition

Lieutenant Commander Antigone Chen transferred from the USS Wounded Knee to the Hopper on stardate 57809 (late in the year 2380). During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Hopper was assigned to defend the Zeta Fornacis star system, and was lost with all hands during its engagement with the Borg. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
