The USS Grissom (NCC-59314) was a Federation starship, an Oberth-class science vessel serving Starfleet in the 24th century. (ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia, first edition)
- The first edition of The Star Trek Encyclopedia listed this vessel in the "Starships" chart entry. Since this was removed in later editions (replaced with the Excelsior-class USS Grissom), for the purposes of this wiki the revised continuity of that vessel existing in the 2360s decade is considered authoritative—but the entry seems to indicate the existence of this vessel that pre-dated the revised Grissom.
