USS Halk

The USS Halk (NCC-2742) was a Federation Loknar-class (mark I subclass) class VII frigate starship in the 23rd century, entering Starfleet service on reference stardate 1/9712. The Halk was refit to the specification of a mark II subclass class VIII vessel on stardate 2/1312, and again to the mark IV subclass class IX on stardate 2/1312. Halk was recorded as destroyed on stardate 2/1803. (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)

On her final mission, the Halk, along with the starships USS Kongo and the USS Rome, responded to a distress call from a Federation outpost in the Orion Sector only to be engaged by six Klingon D18-class ships. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)
