The USS Horizon (NX-94441) was a 25th century Federation starship, the Horizon-class science vessel prototype in Starfleet service from the 2400s decade. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Service history and disposition[]
The Horizon class had entered service by the year 2409, during the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410. Its design was an evolution of the Olympic-class science vessel and hospital ship. (STO website: Ships of the Line (website))
The Horizon shared its registry number NX-94441 with other Starfleet and even mirror universe Imperial Starfleet science vessels, including the USS Copernicus. (STO - Call to Arms missions: "Mirror Universe Incursion", "State of Q")
In Starfleet Shipyards Operations shipyard interfaces, the Horizon visually represented its clas from 2409 onwards. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Following the attack on Earth Spacedock by the Undine in 2410,[1] the Horizon was one of the ships regularly patrolling the space station's vicinity. (STO - The Iconian War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
