The USS Inouye (NCC-95654) was a 25th century Federation starship, an Augur-class temporal science vessel in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Harry Kim. (STO - Kings & Queens mission: "Taken By Surprise")

Captain Kim knew his crew and their families. In the year 2411, his senior staff included Commanders Xof and Erin Macdonald. As part of the joint Khitomer Alliance-Tholian Assembly effort to close any reality vortex, the Inouye worked with Admiral Kuumaarke and the LSS Reskava at Starbase 1 in the Sol star system.
A Borg cube led by Strategus Aarn Tzen-Tarrak emerged from a reality vortex and attacked the ships at Starbase 1, disabling the Inouye and the Reskava. Borg drones boarded Kim's ship, assimilating security personnel and killing other crewmembers. Reinforcements by the Alliance helped Captain Kim and Commander Macdonald repel the Borg from the Inouye but Kuumaarke was abducted from engineering.
The Inouye battled Tzen-Tarrak's cube. Captain Kim led a boarding party aboard the cube, fought Strategus Tzen-Tarrak and rescued Kuumaarke. With the assistance of the Alliance, Reskava and Aetherian Concordium starship Harmony, Tzen-Tarrak's cube, support ships and reinforcements were defeated.
