The USS Intrepid (NCC-74600-B) was a Federation starship, an Intrepid-class long-range science vessel retrofit in Starfleet service from the 2400s decade. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Service history and disposition[]
In the year 2409, the Intrepid-class prototype USS Intrepid (NCC-74600) went missing near star system NGC-2447. A special task force dispatched by Admiral D'Vak found the location to be the site of the Undine Terradome, and Intrepid was presumed destroyed. (STO - Borg Advance mission: "Undine Terradome")
The USS Intrepid (NCC-74600-A) was launched to replaced the lost vessel. In 2410, the Intrepid-A represented its class in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface. Later that year, the original Intrepid returned. The fleet-rated refit of the Intrepid-class LRSV was represented by the Intrepid-B. Its hull was painted in Fleet material. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")
Khitomer Alliance flag officer in, or aligned with, Starfleet, deployed Intrepid-B for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", admiralty system)
Mirror universe[]
In one permutation of the mirror universe, the ISS Intrepid (NCC-74621-B) was in service in the year 2409 and part of the Terran Empire's fleets harassing Federation and civilian shipping lanes in the Beta Ursae sector block. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Defend the Beta Ursae Sector Block")
