USS Jackson (Excelsior class)

The USS Jackson was an Excelsior-class Federation starship in service in the late 24th century.

In late 2368, while under the command of Captain Travis, the starship stopped at Starbase 215 for repairs.

A few days later, after having left the starbase, the Jackson sent out a priority one distress call and was intercepted by the USS Enterprise-D. Captain Travis told the Enterprise crew that he hadn't ordered a distress call and that it must have originated from his new chief engineer Lieutenant Commander Carll.
