The USS Kaga (NCC-1780) was a Federation Constitution-class (of the Mk III Achernar-subclass) class I/class IX heavy cruiser starship in service to Starfleet in the 23rd century.
The Kaga was built to Mk III specifications and entered service around reference stardate 2/0905. Unfortunately she was declared lost, her whereabouts unknown, around stardate 2/1709. (TOS reference: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
- The Kaga was later replaced by the USS Kaga II, an Enterprise-subclass heavy cruiser.
