The USS Lindbergh was a Federation starship. She was a Daedalus-class explorer in service to Starfleet in the 22nd century. Lindbergh had an illustrious service career. (Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual)
Service history[]
In 2166, the Lindbergh and her sister ship USS Wakefield engaged a fleet of Orion pirate ships at the Battle of Delta Doradus. Starfleet later credited the Lindbergh with the destruction of three Orion ships in the battle. (Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual)
After her service, the Lindbergh was retired to serve as a museum ship at the Fleet Museum.
In the 24th century, a Koranov Institute time window created a temporal paradox when the USS Wakefield inadvertently passed through it from 2166 and retreated into a dangerous nebula. In order to prevent the paradox, the USS Lindbergh was returned to duty and refit to be operated by a crew of six. Her exterior was refurbished to look like the Wakefield. Lindbergh then traveled through the time window back to 2166 and assumed Wakefield's place in time. She transmitted a routine report near Pluto, then proceeded to the Delta Doradus system. She was escorted by a starship which hid behind a moon in the system, which was assigned to beam out the six crewmen just before Lindbergh — in its role as Wakefield — was destroyed in the battle.
