The USS McAuliffe was a Federation Starfleet starship in service in the 2370s decade.

Service history[]

By 2371, the McAuliffe was commanded by Captain Deluka and was primarily a science vessel.

That year, the McAuliffe docked at Deep Space 9. Benjamin Sisko and Jake Sisko, who had been on the McAuliffe before and were fond the advanced holodeck baseball program the crew of the McAuliffe had created, were excited to hear that the starship had docked and immediately visited the holodeck. (DS9 comic: "Frozen Boyhood")

Background[]

The McAuliffe was likely named for Christa McAuliffe, who died aboard the Challenger when it was destroyed in 1986.
