The USS McCoy (NCC-91270) was a 25th century Federation starship, a tier 2 science vessel in Starfleet service as a medical frigate in the 2400s decade. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Starbase 24")
Service history[]
By 2409, the USS McCoy was based at Starbase 24 alongside the Destiny-class deep space science vessel USS McCoy. In that year, the starbase was a flashpoint in the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410. During an assault on the station by the Klingon Defense Force, the McCoy operated under the cover of Starfleet reinforcements during the evacuation of personnel from Starbase 24. When the starbase was evacuated, a number of scientists from the base were transferred to the McCoy for safe transport out of the star system. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Starbase 24")
