The USS Mitchell[4] (NCC-325027) was a 32nd century Federation starship, a Merian-class science vessel[1] dreadnought[2] in Starfleet service in the 3190s decade. (DSC episode: "Coming Home")
Service history and disposition[]

At some point around stardate 865783.7[5] in 3190, the Mitchell had entered service. In that year, the Mitchell monitored the area around the Dark Matter Anomaly. After the rogue Federation scientist Doctor Ruon Tarka destroyed the DMA, the Mitchell reported to the USS Discovery and Starfleet that a replacement DMA had appeared. (DSC episode: "Rubicon")
Mission to Earth.
Later, the Mitchell participated in the Federation effort to evacuate the moon Titan before the Sol star system's impending destruction by the approaching DMA. When Federation Headquarters arrived at Earth, Lieutenant Sylvia Tilly of Starfleet Academy advised Fleet Admiral Charles Vance that the Mitchell could evacuate all of Titan's population and still have capacity for Terrans. Vance agreed to Tilly's proposal, and the Mitchell warped into Earth's orbit just as debris was about to hit a Federation shuttle.
As the DMA drew close, Vance ordered the fleet to retreat. The DMA was stopped when Federation President Laira Rillak and delegates convinced the extragalactic Species 10-C to shut their destructive mining device down. (DSC episode: "Coming Home")
