The USS Montréal, also known as USS Montreal[2], was a Federation starship, a Miranda-class destroyer in Starfleet service in the 24th century. (TNG video game: Birth of the Federation)
Service history and disposition[]
Montréal was named for a city in Canada on the planet Earth's North American continent.
Starfleet deployed Montréal to secure Federation interests in star systems of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants in the 24th century. In hostile encounters, the ship supported the fleet in the role of a destroyer. (TNG video game: Birth of the Federation)
- No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel in BotF as its name was selected for a destroyer by the game developers, and is placed randomly when the ship appears.
The Montreal participated in the Dominion War as part of the Federation Alliance in the 2370s decade. Late in the year 2374, Montreal and the Galaxy-class explorer USS Crockett avoided the Cardassian 3rd Fleet and slipped into an asteroid field. Crockett had suffered extreme damage to its superstructure, prompting Captain Tennison to record the ship's final log entry.
Tennison ordered non-essential crew evacuated to the saucer section, and had Montreal tow it to safety while Tennison would remain behind with the stardrive section for a last stand. (Star Trek Adventures module: Gamma Quadrant Sourcebook)
By the 25th century, a new Vesper-class cruiser carried the name Montréal. The USS Montreal (NCC-92109) participated in the defense of Vega colony against a Borg invasion in the year 2409. (STO - Tutorial mission: "The Price of Liberty")
