A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! As always, the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Strange New Worlds and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG and Star Trek Online, as well as other eventful releases such as Section 31, the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). The USS Nautilus was a Federation starship, an Akira-class cruiser in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)

History[]

The Nautilus was one of the Federation starships combating the Borg Collective when Locutus attempted to assimilate the Alpha Quadrant and gain control over an Omega particle in the year 2376. (ST video game: Armada)

Some six months later, in 2377, the Nautilus saw action during a renewed Borg invasion. (ST video game: Armada II)

In 2379, Whis was assigned as the ship's chief engineer. (TNG - A Time to... novels: A Time to Love, A Time to Hate)

During the Borg supercube crisis of 2380, the Nautilus was part of the fleet that engaged the Borg supercube in what became the Slaughter of Sector 108. The entire battle lasted ninety-seven seconds. Only a handful of ships managed to escape, including the Nautilus, which transmitted a distress call with a recording of the massacre. (TNG novel: Before Dishonor)
